Onmyouji fic

Mhh well. Not as good as I'd hoped it would be, and only partly a Yumemakura pastiche. Here.

Very pleasant indeed, and I _loved_ the last line.

I liked the thought of people coming back to play music with their friends! I second Incandescens sentiment on that last line.

I don't know these people, but I still liked the story a lot. =)

You haven't watched Onmyouji? I thought everyone on my FL had had it thrust upon them at some point or other.

Thanks. The implied closeness is, yes, merely implied in the novels (however much the films have Seimei clasping Hiromasa's body and wailing.) Alas, that repeated 'will you come with me' (or will you go or shall we go or are you coming) is one of Yumemakura's signature lines. Seimei always says Ikimashou? several times and Hiromasa always goes Ummm several times before agreeing Ikimashou.

Thank you. Glad you liked it.

'These things do not remember you, belovèd,—
And yet your touch upon them will not pass.'
I figured musicians might feel that untranslatable miren 未練 'lingering attachment' thing for their instruments and the people they used to play them with, especially the ones they played best with.

Though of course, in the Onmyouji world, these things *would* remember the one who touched them.

Very nice. And a very delicate nod to the Hatsu story, without going so far as to become a fanfic. I think it's simply lovely. I only wish there's more. ^_^

Doubtless there'll be more in this series. Seimei stories can get to be a habit too.

Oh, I love it. At the risk of repeating what's been said before, the ending is perfect.

It's very odd. For the longest time, I kept seeing it discounted and wondering if I should get it, then I just forgot, and then the flist explodes with the Onmyouji love, and I can't find it anywhere. =)

I don't know these characters, but a fine job! (In fact, maybe I'm wrong... I feel like I *do* know them now, a little.)
