The common wisdom is that you're stuck in the house for a month after knee surgery but the common wisdom is batting something like 1 for 5 right now. Yes the first week was the toughest but I could walk unaided after two days, I could bend my knee just fine,  they had me down at the hospital a week post-surgery, and as for bed sores and morphine dementia, hahaha. So after physio today I got the cabbie to drop me at the supermaket and picked up three boxes of sandwiches and walked the two blocks home. Which was tiring, but that's the longest I've walked in over two weeks, so go me. They do say keep moving, so I moved.

Physiotherapist however suggests I've been trying to run before I can walk where stairs are concerned. Gave me exercise to do: up and down *one* step and one step only, so fine. Trouble being that step-foot step-foot uses the right leg and the arthritic right knee is very unhappy in this weather while the left knee couldn't care less. However. I do what the physio says, including icing three times a day.
