Even with the lid down, bacteria will spread from a flushing toilet. They say that 99% of bacteria can be eliminated with Lysol tablets in the tank. So I buy a Lysol tablet for the tank. I will believe that my bacteria are eliminated,  but at the cost of a chronic Lysol smell in the bathroom, apoarent only to my super smeller nose. And I can't leave the lid down for much the same reasons men are told not to leave the seat up. After a certain age, every second counts when dashing to the loo. I thought not having kids would keep my pelvic floor intact, but, well, it doesn't. I will just have to get used to the odor.

A Memory Called Empire comes trotting in. Is not quite the space opera I want but will give it a fair shake. But in the meantime I bought the Marcus Corvinus I passed up before, on account of it being one of the political ones, and am remaking my acquaintance with him. Am hoping the library catalogue will get back online soon because they're certain to have his last two in the system, and the less I give to the mighty river the better.

Have been doing five minute (plus-minus) housekeeping this week to lift the spirits, and it does. Even if the downstairs vacuum hose pulls out yet again, annoyingly, I stil have a clean for the moment rug and front hall.
