Weary Friday

Tired of being tired. Cough has tapered off to be replaced by a new virus that causes... well, tiredness (sleeps of 9 and 10 hours) and unplaceable malaise. Other staff at work has it too, so it's not just me being hypochondriac. Hand foot and mouth continues apace, but until I see blisters I shall think myself safe.

Nightwood left a bad mental taste in my mouth. Are there really that many Robin-type women in the world? There's another in Dusty Answer (which predates Nightwood) and I knew two RL examples in Tokyo- who, admittedly, exercised rather more agency than Robin does, but as they unconsciously exercised it for DRAMA!!! it's not much of an improvement.

Heartening drop of a kilo from yesterday is heartening, but if my body can take it off overnight, it can as easily put it back on. And from the way I was feeling when I woke this morning, I was sure it had.

Sympathy on the Cold That Will Not Die. I seem to have a variant on it too. A bothersome time of year. I'm also wondering if upcoming hayfever may be making it worse, given the unseasonable warmth.

I'm sure spring allergies come into it, even though TO is currently doing the polar vortex thing. Trees bud, we sneeze, etc. *Wish* the dratted thing would just be over, as I'm sure do you.
