And the days are not full enough...

Only partly because we're into perennial cough/ throat-clearing/ scratchy throat season and the wanhope that goes with allergies. Other part is the 'winter kept us warm' thing. The light outside my bedroom blinds was apocalyptic this morning, which proved to be a snow squall. It didn't stick, which was nice, and snowflurries are welcome any time of year. But this leads to sitting on the couch bundled up with throws and beanbags, eating chocolate, and not wanting to move. Also to indulgence in the form of paté and pickled onions and of course bread, and a small bottle of gin, and gin leads to 'let's order in dinner!' and that leads to Vietnamese banh and condensed milk coffee. And my knee is stiff in this weather and doesn't want to bend for the bicycle so I don't work it off.

Spring will come, a good thing because I discover holes in the soles of my boots. Since I bought them in 2015 they've had good innings, but of course the last few winters were all taxis instead of walking whenever I had to go any distance at all. Equally, the plastic buckle on my walker, that you hold to lift the thing up and down steps, has half-cracked through. I mended it with electrician's tape but have no confidence that will work if/ when the plastic breaks completely. Ah well, troubles for another time.

And the nights are quite full enough, because antihistamines guarantee deep sleep.
