Started out to the laundromat, saw dry streets, went back inside and put on my shoes. And very nice too, because my boots pinch me if I wear thick winter socks. But walking about the laundromat I realized that I still have the same problem as four years ago, in that I can walk fine unaided in stocking feet, but wearing shoes exacerbates low back pain and even unsteadiness. The unsteady bit is partly my legs still not strong enough for me to feel stable on them, and part of that is the weird stiffness of the quad tendons. Massage therapist thinks he can get all that better by May, but I'm going How long, oh lord, how long?

I was washing a couple of hoodies and fleecies, and discovered that another of this city's criminal population with anger issues had had a go at the detergent dispensing machine so that it no longer worked. Maybe even the same guy who trashed the coin machine (now fixed) and put a fist through the wall. So I washed my clothes in hot water only, and they seem not to have suffered from it. If it had been towels I might have gone back to the house for my clumpy hot water powder, but I wasn't feeling the need.

Otlherwise it was a grey November day with snow flurries of the best kind, that drift down from time to time in ones and twos. The thing I don't get is that rain never does this, falling in widely spaced single drops. So why does snow?
