Chronicles of midsummer

My new five bladed fan works a fair treat moving the air around but it has one peculiarity: it sings. I've had other fans that made me think they were singing when I was lying down, but that was only an illusion born of having one ear plugged. This one has a definite four note tune as it oscillates, to the point that I first thought I was hearing next door's music through the wall.

Warm and windy today- so windy I stumbled when caught in one of the 50 kph gusts- so I finally washed all the shirts I wear over my tank tops, the ones I sweat into but never get around to washing. Hung them on the line where they flapped and bleached in the hot sun and dried in half an hour. Also everything else I wore on Tuesday, because that was sodden with sweat by the time I got home.

Came out the other evening and noticed my spindly hedge looking gappier than usual, then noticed a bundle of what my ancestors called faggots at the end of the hedge. SND has a gardener who obviously has taken all the dead wood out of the hedge: and also trimmed the top much better than I managed to do. Haven't seen J around lately but if I do, must offer to defray at least part of the expense.

Back and hips have been spasming so much I finally made an appointment at the clinic up the street to see their sports doctor, who I hope will suggest which practioner to see to remedy same. Their chiropractor also does acupuncture, which is a nice two for one. OTOH the sessions are only half an hour, which is excellent for chiropractor (my old one was over and done in ten) but a bit short on the needle side.
