My dangerous 'hood

There's been a coyote wandering around the neighbourhood for a while. Known as the Old Man, he usually hangs around the park on the other side of Bathurst. Doesn't bother the dogs or the kids so animal control says just let him be. There are, god knows, enough raccoons and squirrels to keep him fed. But evidently today he turned up at the end of my block, which had people phoning 311 to ask the city what to do about him. Or maybe it's another coyote entirely. Those who know say there's hundreds of coyotes in the city, which is one of the many reasons you shouldn't let your cat outside.

And now it seems there's a peeping Tom down the street south of Bloor. Jumps fences from the back alley, taps on windows, starts jerking off. And possibly breaks in to empty houses. Luckily he went once too often to the same house and got the boyfriend in, who confronted him, got a clear picture, and called the cops who found and arrested him. Someone said his hearing is tomorrow, which seems unlikely - judges like their weekends- but that's it for the nonce.

It's a wonder the coyote and the voyeur didn't find each other.

Coyotes are the reason why Sybyl the Cat is an indoor pet.
