OK, shall not cut back on Med 1 just because I'm doubling the dose of Med 2. Unless Med 2 makes me fall asleep in the middle of the day, which it always might. Or maybe today was just a weepy day for no good reason. Or maybe pressure in the sinuses, that acupuncture is powerless to relieve, *is* a good reason.

Newer gentler knee exercises make knee hurt in unexpected places. Shall mention this to the physiotherapist Friday.

Still glorious cold blue-black night with white blossoms.

Share your knee exercises? I'm back to walking and sometimes the knee wants to give out.

Mine is very basic stuff- quad strengthening to start:

quad clenches and short arcs (http://www.knee-pain-explained.com/knee-strengthening-exercises.html#quads) (with minor variations because I have inflammation at the back of the knee.) Keep the uninvolved leg bent and sit up or lean back on elbows, but not lying down. For the clenches I use a towel or something, 2" thick, and press onto that. You're *not* supposed to use a towel for the short arcs but I do because it hurts, and lift 4", ideally with the knee turned to the side but straight if necessary.

Then lying on back, legs bent and feet on floor, and turn legs as far to the side as possible without feet coming off the floor, then the other side, 20 times.

Classic knee strengthheners from the sports clinic that worked for my s-i-l are sit to stand (http://www.knee-pain-explained.com/knee-strengthening-exercises.html#combo), standing quad stretch but using a scarf or something rather than grabbing your ankle, so you can adjust the height; and the clam and bridging (http://www.knee-pain-explained.com/knee-strengthening-exercises.html#glutes)- but with bridging, put a pillow between your legs and squeeze it.

Good luck.
