Twenty-five years ago my bro went on a low-carb diet and lost vast amounts of weight. First time he'd had a concave belly since his teens. Diagnosed as pre-diabetic a few years back, he's been losing weight again if more slowly: 30 lbs at present. I asked how much more before he got the flat look back; he said 'I weigh less than I did in '89.' This explains why I, also lighter than I have been in 25 years, cannot fit the clothes I looked good in 25 years ago.
