Autumn really is a lovely time of year. The air smells beautiful; the leaves are yellow in the sun; the days are warm and the nights are cool and one gets as close to perfection as this earth is capable of. - I would add to that ... Apples! ^__^

That particular window was such a small and narrow one though, from recollections I have for England. For all too soon the crisp air and would give way to chill and winter would be on it's way far too soon.

Indeed Autumn is perfect, perhaps that is why it is fleeting. Winter's drag, Spring crisp frost on the ground crackles underfoot and some summers stretch into long hot days too dry. Autumn comes and spellbinds us with a hint and promise of magic and is fleeting.

^__^ Definitely my favourite time of year from my years in England. That my birthday is in the middle of it just happens to be a happy coincidence.
